Discover Intentional Living: iPlay

Pastor Ken teaches about our calling to lead meaningful lives by not “playing church”, but rather by being the church. Citing Philippians 3:12, Pastor reminds us we need to “press on…” and to “strain toward what is ahead”, much as a marathon runner would…our goal is to know Christ more and honor Him with all that we are. Christ has made us His own. Let us strive with all He has given us toward this goal.

Jonah 4, Jonah’s Anger

Pastor Ken teaches us that when we hold bitterness and resentment, as did Jonah, this lack of forgiveness toward others impairs our relationship with God. We often expect to have God deal with our enemies according to our own values and experiences, and not in accordance with His will. God’s somewhat humorous response to Jonah’s selfishness reminds us of our need to let go of our anger, obey the Lord, be content and let the Lord’s justice prevail.
